Dr. Epstein has been active in every aspect of Jewish education, formal and informal. His career began at United Synagogue Day School in Toronto. From 1973 to 1978 he directed the Jewish Teacher Training Program at McGill University. He was director of Canadian Ramah for three summers.
In 1981 Dr. Epstein (Epi) joined the staff of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee. During his eighteen years of JDC work, he was active in Morocco, Western Europe, and the Former Soviet Union. In his capacity as JDC’s Director of Jewish Education, Epi acted as liaison to World ORT, and became very familiar with many ORT schools around the world.
From 1999 to 2009 Epi was the director of Toronto’s Board of Jewish Education at UJA Federation. In 2009 his first book, From Couscous to Kasha: Reporting From the Field of Jewish Community Work, was published by Urim Publications. His next book, a fresh commentary on the Esther Scroll, is soon to be published by Mosaic Press.
Educator, organizer, published author and mentor to many, Epi is now consulting in the field of Jewish education and community planning. He and his wife, Cheryl, have two children, Yoni and Sarit.
The event takes place at The Mattamy Centre, Formerly Known as Maple Leaf Gardens, where The original Beatles performed their stunning Toronto debut in 1966.
The Mattamy Athletic Centre is located at 50 Carlton Street, at the northwest corner of Carlton Street and Church Street.
Door open at 6:30 pm. Pre-show reception for Benefactors and Patrons begins at 7 pm. Show starts promptly at 8 pm.
Food is under COR supervision. Light dessert and snacks will be served at the Pre-show reception.

Patron* Tickets at $250 include attendance at the Pre show Reception & Dessert. A tax receipt in the amount of $80 will be issued.
Show Only Tickets are $100. No tax receipt will be issued.
